Fall 2024 or Spring 2025
High School Educators teaching in southwestern Indiana and southeastern Illinois sign up to have JA Innovation Challenge in their classroom during the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 school semester. After signing up, JA Regional Managers connect with educators to plan a schedule for a JA Volunteer to deliver the 6 session JA Be Entrepreneurial® curriculum in their classroom during the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 semester.
Using the JA Be Entrepreneurial® curriculum in the classroom, JA Volunteers coach students as they create a business plan concept and learn the art of a pitch.

After creating a start-up enterprise and business plan concept using the JA Be Entrepreneurial® curriculum, JA student teams practice their pitch and plan for the classroom competition.

Classroom Competition: End of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 School Semester
Teams of 1-4 students in each classroom compete at the end of the school semester to determine a winning team to advance to the Regional Competition. One winning team from each classroom competition advances to compete in the April 2025 Regional Competition.
Regional Competition: April 17, 2025 at University of Evansville
15 teams of high school students across the region compete to win the 2025 JA Innovation Challenge Regional Competition. Local entrepreneurs and business executives serve as JA Judges to lend feedback and determine the winning business plan concept.
